5. Explore Elizabeth Farm

For those who like a touch of history, why not visit Elizabeth Farm – one of the oldest homes in Australia and a seriously hands-on ‘living museum’? Originally built for military couple John and Elizabeth Macarthur in 1793, the space is now an ‘access all areas’ museum, with visitors able to explore the entire property and discover more about the major events the Parramatta area has been through. These include the growth of the colony, the toppling of governors, convict rebellion and the birth of the Australian wool industry.

Open from 10am till 4pm on Wednesday to Sunday, it’s $12 for adults to enter, and will provide a great, relaxed afternoon learning more about the origins of the Parramatta area.

6. Try your hand at the Labyrinth Escape Rooms

For a dramatic change of pace, why not put your problem-solving (and stress regulating) skills to the test at Parramatta’s Labyrinth Escape Rooms? A great option for those travelling in groups and wanting to do something together, the escape rooms see your primal instincts come into play as your use logic and skills to find a way to escape from your locked room in just 60 minutes.

With a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 people per room, this is a fantastic bonding activity that will have you itching to solve the puzzle with your colleagues, friends or family!
